Capture their spirit in bright, bold colour

Painting a quality bespoke portrait is so much more than just showing what the sitter looks like. I want a portrait painting to engage the viewer, to demand their attention, to give them the sense that that person is there in the room with you. I want the viewer to look into the eyes and feel a genuine connection.

 

Working from a photograph, I use bold brush strokes and bright acrylic colours to capture the essence of a sitter's form and try and tap into their personality and bring it to life there on the canvas.
